Yep...just another day...
Friends, Earthlings, Universians, hear ye, hear ye!
My ship is currently in the middle of the water, with an internet
connection rivaling the slownes of a 36.6Kbps modem. Why, just
attempting to make this post has taken me a good three hours! We
can't download anything past 5MB, even via MegaUpload or
fileshare or ANYTHING. Dailymotion and YouTube, and Stage6 are
all no-gos due to blockage X_X
And thus, my fellow humans, I have but one humble request...
Humble...yet a tad complex...
I need one of you, my dear beloved, to send me one (or more, if
you are so inclined) of the post-strike episodes of "The Office",
split up into multiple files (winrar would be awesome...but more on that in the next paragraph), with the
largest of any of these files being 4.9 MB (anything else will
just be bounced back by my ship's e-mail server), and e-mail them to me...one...at...a...time.
...and that, my friends is this is less a request and more of a plea ;_;
Also, please disguise these files by changing their extension to ".jpg" or some other image file, since the ship's ultraparanoid mail server blocks just about everything else. Yes, I do realize that an avi file of The Office averages at around 175MB. If you can send me one in RealMedia format with Variable Bitrate, that will also work too, if it makes the files smaller without making it look like a streaming video made for 56K modems =P Hell, we'll take mp4 or wmv at this point!
Also, I will need WinRar (or equivalent) to unsplit said multiple
files. Yes...I fail at life ;_;
The reason is not merely for me to enjoy these recent episodes,
but also a fairly large number of crewmembers onboard my
watercraft are also missing this wonderful show, and the current
connection that we have times out about thirty seconds into the
streaming videos on the NBC website. We are slowly drowning in a
pool of madness brought about by less than three hours of sleep a
day and constant threat of danger...we need a mind break, really.
Thusly, I ask...I request...I plead...for one of you wonderful,
beautiful souls to make my simple dream of watching "Dinner
Party" and/or "Chair Model" come true.
If you've never met be before, Do it for humanity.
If you are a friend, either in real life or here, Do it for
friendship.
And if you're in the United States of America...
...do it for the people who defend your country, dammit -_- For
the love of all that is worth loving, a lot of us make an average
of $2.49 an hour with this job ;_; We need SOMETHING to live for!
